Problem Statement

Miki is an office worker who needs a travel app that allows her to book and create itineraries in advance without requiring prepayment. She does not have fixed travel dates and wants the flexibility to compare different destinations and travel times.

Lily is a free-spirited student who loves studying historical places in Asian countries. She needs an app that provides detailed information about these sites. The app should offer comprehensive details about accommodations without requiring her to input specific travel dates, as she wants to explore options without committing to exact travel plans.

Paul is a family-oriented merchant who enjoys traveling with his wife and two children. He needs an all-in-one travel app that supports family travel by providing information on public transportation, landmarks, and how to reach them. Additionally, the app should suggest family-friendly places and restaurants, as he prefers to avoid locations that are not suitable for children.

Goal Statement

Our travel app will provide maps for public transportation and information on how to get around. This approach is expected to positively impact all types of customers. We will measure effectiveness by comparing the usage of public transportation to private transportation.

Our travel app will partner with host accommodations and activity providers to offer a pay-at-arrival model as a value proposition. This approach may appeal to customers who prefer not to pay in advance. We will measure effectiveness by tracking the rate of recurring bookings from these customers.

Our travel app will allow users to create customized itineraries themselves, enabling customers like Miki, Lily, and Paul to plan their trips conveniently using the information we provide. Additionally, our app will categorize trip plans into options such as solo, family, group, and girls' trips, helping customers like Paul choose family-friendly routes. We will measure effectiveness by tracking their bookings and saved itineraries in our library.
